CPI Inflation clocked in at 23.2% in Sep 2022

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased to 23.2 percent on year-on-year basis in September 2022 as compared to an increase of 27.3 percent in the previous month and nine percent in September 2021, says the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

As per the monthly review of price indices by the PBS, on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, CPI decreased by 1.2 percent in September 2022 as compared to an increase of 2.4 percent in the previous month and an increase of 2.1 percent in September 2021.

The average CPI in the first three months of current fiscal year was 25.11 percent compared to 8.58 percent during the same period of last year.
